Accessibility Statement

heap studio S.à r.l. is committed to making heap.lu accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technology. This statement applies to:

https://heap.lu/

heap.lu is not a public-sector website and is therefore not bound by the Luxembourg law of 28 May 2019 on the accessibility of public-sector websites and mobile applications. We have nonetheless voluntarily assessed this website against the same standard it implements — the European standard EN 301 549 and the RAWeb 1.1 referential.

What is web accessibility?

Everyone should be able to use and understand the information on a website, including people with visual, hearing, physical or cognitive disabilities, and people relying on assistive software or specialised hardware.

Accessibility features

  • A skip link on every page gives direct keyboard access to the main content.
  • All navigation and interactive components — including the project slider on the homepage — are fully operable by keyboard, without keyboard traps, and carry a visible focus indicator.
  • Pages use a semantic landmark structure (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a consistent heading hierarchy.
  • Informative images have a text alternative; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technologies.
  • Information is never conveyed by colour alone, and text and interface colours meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements.
  • The layout is responsive and supports text resizing and zooming without loss of content or functionality.
  • This sitemap offers a second way to find your way around the site.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 7 August 2026, through a self-assessment carried out by heap studio, reviewing every page template against the RAWeb 1.1 referential (136 criteria). The review covered rendered HTML, the stylesheet (including colour contrast) and the JavaScript components. It was not carried out with users of assistive technologies, and content added afterwards by editors is outside its scope.
